Recognising the importance of IT within an organisation does not necessarily mean that your organisation can justify the expense of a full time CIO or IT Manager. Smaller businesses rarely need to revise their IT strategy, especially if that strategy was correctly formulated in the first place.
Employees are a resource to a company and consequently warrant a full Return On Investment (ROI). If your organisation cannot justify the cost of full time IT Staff, you may be more suited to a short term or temporary solution.
